fangohr-logo

we received an email from a non-profit working in support of immigrants in detention, asking if we could design two web templates. we looked it over... not unless they'd let us overhaul everything else too. dwn agreed. seemingly pleased with their new logo and site, they invited us to their yearly conference in washington dc to present the new 'detention watch network'.

i beg you, no birds…

we were surprised to hear that the dwn committee didn’t like our bird logos* from the first design review. apparently doves are a “faux pas” with the human rights crowd.

we looked for alternatives pinned it down in round 3; the final design depicts a spotlight hitting a fence. drawn to fit the grid of gridnik, a typeface by one of our favorite designers wim crowel .

*if you are with a non-profit and in need of a logo design, drop us a line and we might just send you one of the unused logo birds.
